En — Triptych of posters for an independent exhibition on the theme of the labyrinth. Each poster presents a variation on the word ‘labyrinth’, in which the letters and the word are distorted, solidified and crystallised.
This series of posters was selected for the 2024 poster competition organised by the Int’l Poster Festival.
At the end of 2025, Dédale was also exhibited at the Toposter exhibition in Shanghai. This exhibition was the first event marking the opening of the new Shanghai Graphic Design Biennial.
While there, I was warmly welcomed by Duan Zhihua, co-founder of Studio Pocca, with whom we had the opportunity to discuss our vision of graphic design and the existence of our profession in a cultural and economic context very different from that of France.
It was also an opportunity to talk with other major figures in contemporary graphic design, such as Florian Lam, Dan Solbach, and Joonghyun Cho. And, of course, Wenbin Han, Puiham Cham (Studio Todo), and Lu Junyi (Design Live).
But also the teaching team at the School of Future Design at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, located on the gigantic Songjiang campus: Chen Rong (professor of visual communication and typography), Zhang Shaojun (professor of visual communication, pioneer in the introduction of modern CIS/VIS branding in China), Cai Yexin (tutor with Duan in the poster course), and Fang Jun (Latin typographer, professor of packaging).
I was also invited by Duan to give a two-hour presentation as part of the poster design course and to share some elements of my poster design methodology.
These posters combine pencil drawings, colored pencils, and a composition created in Adobe InDesign.
Poster printed at Presses de Touraine then at Photo Tours.
